As my daughters get older I am becoming aware of the reality that most mothers with older daughters have. There is a HUGE difference between the size 4-6X selection and the 7-14. It’s really quite disturbing. I went to Nordstrom Rack today and was browsing through the girls dresses. I found so many adorable cotton dresses for my middle daughter who is a size 6. I have been busy. We are getting our house ready to put on the market. I have put the sewing machine “away,” which for me is still close by (in case of emergencies) on a very clean table. I confess, I am a messy seamstress. Ah, we all have our things. So, I haven’t been sewing lately. I’ve traded my machine for a paint brush and roller. Mary has been busy working on some more fruit for our Tree of Life fabric. I love the pineapple. It’s so cool! I hope you were all able to click on the link that Al left in the comments on my previous post. Only Al could find this picture! Creepy. So, here is our project slowly growing. I know I seem to have a fascination with the Christian symbolism of “eyes.” Here is my Easter dress from last year of the lamb with the seven eyes.
I can also understand how that is a bit creepy…it really is.
This passage from Revelation in the Bible talks about the lamb with the seven eyes. I guess it also had seven horns, but imagine how crazy that would look.

Not literally, but I have to tell you, I’m inspired! I just have to share with you this new fabric collection from Robert Kaufman that I’m totally in love with. (Yes, I do realize I ended that sentence with a preposition!) Check out the full line of London Calling which is inspired by the famous prints of Liberty of London. Love love love!
